Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs)

Are registered nurses whose advanced competencies and professional skills go above and beyond their nursing proficiencies, which include diagnosis and treatment of most disease conditions and independent prescribing. ANP competencies are mapped to the GP curriculum which enable them perform the activities of an advanced generalist within the practice.

Emergency Care Practitioners – Paramedics

Are highly trained, degree-level professionals who play crucial roles within the practice. They can normally treat patients with acute illnesses such as chest conditions , urinary tract infections and are specialised in assessing all types of emergency and urgent presentations. The paramedics work closely with other clinical team members.

Clinical Pharmacist Prescriber

Is an advanced pharmacist practitioner whose competencies include consultation, diagnosis and treatment of any medical condition within their competence, and can prescribe or refuse the prescription of any medicine or device.
